Crossroads of Science and Economy at the 52nd MOS in Celje
At the 52nd International Fair of Crafts and Entrepreneurship (MOS) which was in Celje 10-15 September 2019, the main research institutions in Slovenia presented themselves at the Crossroads of Science and Economy, a project of the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport of Slovenia. MyCol presented a temperature indicator for controlling heating, hosted at the showcase of the National Institute of Chemistry.
Handbook Development of packaging in a circular economy
The handbook was published in the collection Green Slovenia; it is an overview of the challenges for the packaging industry concerning the introduction of the circular economy. In the section Materials is also MyCol’s contribution entitled: Food packaging and the potential to reduce food waste in the cold chain. MyCol's unique ideas and efforts how to reduce food waste from cold chain have also been promoted.
MyCol has won the SME Instrument Phase 1 and has started with implementation of the T-Sense project. Subject of the T-Sense project is printed temperature indicator for irreversible detection of temperature volatility outside tolerance used in cold chain. With Phase 1 grant, we will explore the user-acceptance and the economic viability of our business idea. This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 868226
